Six Internet bars sued for playing pirated "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf"

Lately, Shanghai JOY.CN Corporation Limited sued 6 Internet bars in Xiamen city for nearly 100,000 yuan in all and the reason was that these bars played pirated film named Niuqi Chongtian to make profits.

It is learnt that three corporations including Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group were the co-copyright owners of Niuqi Chongtian of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf and had all the copyrights of this film. In February 2009, the three corporations authorized Shanghai Wingsmedia Co. Ltd. with the monopolizing information network transmission rights and monopolizing digital TV playing rights of the film. The authorization term was 3 years and Shanghai Wingsmedia Co. Ltd. had the right to re-license. Then, Shanghai Wingsmedia Co. Ltd. granted its rights to Shanghai JOY.CN Corporation Limited.

Shanghai JOY.CN Corporation Limited found that many Internet bars played the film named Niuqi Chongtian without authorization. In November 2009, the staff of this corporation brought greffiers to 6 Internet bars to collect evidence. And later Shanghai JOY.CN Corporation Limited brought these 6 Internet bars to court.
