Heilongjiang: Harbin has 5,000 patent applications last year |

According to statistics of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), the patent applications were 5,200 pieces in Harbin 2009, invention patents accounting for 48% of the total application amount, and service patent applications accounting for 54.8% of the amount, each index hits a historically high level. Harbin was appraised as "National IP Pilot City" by SIPO in 2009. Harbin smoothly promoted the IP cultivation and IP pilot work of enterprises, as well as substantially enhanced the supports on patent application, the amount of subsidies for patent application were increased from 700,000 yuan to 1.4 million yuan, and strengthened the supports on enterprises' patent application, and the standard of subsidy for each patent application of enterprise was enhanced by one time. Since setting up special fund for patent application, Harbin accumulatively applied 8,733 patents and the subsidies were 5.54 million yuan. |
