Jiangsu: highlights in Zhenjiang's IPR work in 2009 |
It is learnt from Zhenjiang IPR working conference that last year, there were many highlights in Zhenjiang's IPR work. First, patent applications exceeded 8,000, reaching 8,608 pieces. Of these patent applications, invention patent applications were 1,341 pieces and the patent grants were 4,046 pieces. Meanwhile, Zhenjiang Municipal IP Office (Zhenjiang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau) was approved as advanced entity in training work and IPR administrative law enforcement by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO). Second, Zhenjiang made breakthrough in IPR investment and talent cultivation. Patent special funds plus the special outlay from the state and the province outnumbered 10 million yuan for the first time in the city. At the same time, Zhenjiang fostered a cluster of enterprises that each could generate over 10 invention patents in a year. The quality of patents was also improved, to be specific, 2 patents won national patent excellent awards, 1 won Jiangsu provincial patent gold medal, 10 won excellent awards and 21 works were regarded as Jiangsu SME Patent New Products. Still in 2009, Zhenjiang issued Patent Pledge Loan Management Measures and 26 enterprises got 25,500,000 yuan from commercial banks by pledging their 138 core patents. |
