Beijing: Fengtai encourages patentees' independent innovation |

Fengtai Government in Beijing will implement "Measures on patent awards and subsidy for transformation" since 2010. It has set up the fund for patent awards and transformation subsidy and will offer 10 million yuan for patent grants and transformation. This is an important measure taken by Fengtai District in implementing intellectual property strategy and encouraging invention creation. According to the introduction of Deputy Director of Fengtai Science Committee Xie Gang on January 27, in order to encourage independent innovation and boost the transformation of patent achievements, the Measures provides for relatively high awards for patent grants and will greatly attract patentees. The ones to be awarded are artificial persons or individuals in Fengtai District who are the first right owners of the patent. Xie Gang said, as invention patents generally have much contents of S&T and can foresee the economic and social benefits, so could be the core technology and competitiveness of the enterprise. Besides, the standard for patent granting is relatively high abroad, thus the patent grants sometimes indicate the high originality of the patented technology and also big economical or social value. At present, Fengtai Science Committee has issued the notice for patent grants awards on www.ftti.gov.cn, started related work and also opened a hotline (83656385) for consultation. |
