On the morning of January 28, the Third Session of the Eleventh People's Congress of Zhejiang Province held the second plenary meeting to hear the work report of Qi Qi, President of Zhejiang Higher People's Court.

Qi QI said that judicial protection on intellectual property rights plays a leading role. In order to support the development of innovation-based economy in our province, after the active application to Supreme Court, Zhejiang newly added 8 domination courts hearing patent disputes and part of intellectual property disputes; the total number is 27, ranking the first in the courts of the country. 2,646 IP civil cases and 120 criminal cases were solved, and respectively increased by 55.74% and 26.32% compared with the previous year.

Qi Qi said that, Zhejiang Provincial Court successively mediated the patent infringing disputes between Chint Group and Schneider, and the amount of compensation reached 1.5 billion yuan, which is the biggest compensation case litigated by foreign multinational company to domestic enterprise in China.
