Gucci owner prevails in Ningbo suit |

Guccio, owner of internationally known luxury brand Gucci, recently won a trademark infringement case against Ningbo Outlets Shopping Co Ltd. The Ningbo Intermediate People's Court ruled that the defendant must stop infringement and pay 50,000 yuan in damages to the plaintiff. The court found that the Ningbo company created a misleading advertisement using the Gucci trademark, which damaged the Italian brand and constituted unfair competition. |
