Shanghai sets up Expo Court

SHANGHAI - A court has been set up in Pudong District in Shanghai Thursday, for the lawsuits that happen in Shanghai Expo Park.

Located in the park, the Expo Court is part of the Pudong District People's Court, and will deal with common civil and commercial lawsuits, said an official of Shanghai Municipal Higher People's Court.

Meanwhile, the Pudong District People's Court is assigned to deal with cases involving criminal, intellectual property rights and administration, except for the cases heard by intermediate courts, the official said.

Beijing also set up an Olympic Court before the Beijing Olympic Games.
