ZTE Corporation: patent applications soar

Lately, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) released the data of '09 international patent applications. The patent applications of ZTE Corporation increased by 50% or more,  which made ZTE become one of the enterprises with rapid increase of patent filings in the world in 2009. To be specific, last year, ZTE filed 502 pieces of international public patent applications, 173 more than that in 2008.

In fact, WIPO patent application statistics did not cover the patent filings in other several months. In 2009, the actual international patent applications of ZTE Corporation reached 1,164 pieces, rising by 200% compared with the same period of the previous year.
