Beijing starts up IPR Promotion Project in Zhongguancun

Recently, Beijing Municipal IP Office joined hands with Zhongguancun Management Committee to officially start IPR Promotion Project in Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Model Area, which will last three years.

The project, one of the important measures of Beijing Municipal IP Office to carry out Beijing IPR Strategy in 2010, aims to exert the leading role of Zhongguancun in intellectual property rights, boost the implementation of IPR strategy among enterprises, inspire enterprises to invest more in S&T research and innovative activities, launch a series of IPR work to raise enterprises' innovative ability and foster a cluster of enterprises with strong independent innovative ability and core competitiveness.

It is learnt that relevant work plan has been worked out. Beijing Municipal IP Office established green channel for Zhongguancun enterprises in their patent applications together with Zhongguancun Management Committee. They will popularize IPR standardization management system among Beijing enterprises and erect the consultation and cooperation mechanism between Beijing Municipal IP Office and Zhongguancun Management Committee.
