Guangdong discloses hi-tech enterprises

Recently, Guangdong Department of Science and Technology disclosed the second batch of hi-tech enterprises at provincial level. The first five cities in total amount of hi-tech enterprises were Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan and Zhuhai.

In 2009, Guangdong received 1,027 applications and 886 enterprises (excluding those of Shenzhen) passed the identification of hi-tech enterprises. These enterprises entitled with Guangdong hi-tech enterprises will be subject to the preferential treatment in the enterprise income tax. Moreover, such key industries as new material, new energy and energy saving will be the key areas of hi-tech enterprise.
