Inner Mongolia charges karaoke copyright fee |

From February 24 this year, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has already begun to charge copyright copyright royalties which is 8.7 yuan for each karaoke terminal per day. The principal of Cultural Market Management Division of Department of Culture in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region told the reporter that, according to the unified deployment of Ministry of Culture and the implementation plan of Sunshine Project from 2008 to 2010, the Department of Culture in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued a notice on charging karaoke copyright fee, which required the cultural administrative departments at each level to actively promote this work, and protect IPRs. It is learnt that, the cultural department of Hohhot will strengthen the copyright protection of song and dance and entertainment according to the related requirements of copyright administrative management department in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the behaviors of unauthorized use of other people's music works and MTV works will be prosecuted according to law. |
