Fujian: Fuzhou First Patent Awards revealed

Lately, Fuzhou City revealed the first patent awards, and 17 patents in all got a reward of 210,000 yuan from the Science and Technology Bureau and the Intellectual Property Office.

To raise S&T innovation ability, Fuzhou deployed IPR special fund. The rewarded patents all met the following requirements. First, these patents were valid invention ones granted by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO); second, these patents were implemented in the prefecture of Fuzhou; third, the patents contributed to the technological advancement; fourth, the implementation of these patents generated notable economic and social benefits.

It is informed that the patent awards included gold prizes and excellent prizes, and the rewards were 30,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan, respectively. The patent awards are appraised biennially.
