Jiangsu: Wuxi cracks down on counterfeit goods

On January 15, Wuxi held a meeting for the members of the leading group of cracking down on fake products to summarize the work in 2009 and deploy the work for 2010. Vice Mayor Tan Xueming attended the meeting.

Last year, the quality supervision departments, industry and commerce bureaus and public security departments cooperated with each other to fight against fake goods. 77 cases involving counterfeit products were transferred to public security departments, 23 people were brought an accusation against and 20 people were sentenced.

All the related departments particularly combated down upon fake products in food and drug fields as well as brand imitating products.
