Guangxi: Nanning finds out over ten thousand ICHs |
The work meeting on intangible cultural heritage (ICH) survey held on January 12 in Nanning City, commended the workers and units in charge of ICH general investigation in the front line. It is reported that after four years' survey, Nanning found out 12,446 clues of ICH. It is reported that, Nanning carried out the first intangible cultural heritage survey in the whole city since 2006, which lasted four years, and found out12,446 clues of ICH. Among them, folk literature, folk beliefs, and life manner resources are most abundant, accounting for 38.4%, 17%, and 7.3% respectively of the total amount, and folk art, quyi, folk knowledge, folk acrobatics and other types of resources are rare. For the results of the general investigation, the next step, Nanning cultural department will establish an important ICH subsidy system on behalf of successors (folk artist), build a batch of ICH exhibition halls to display ICH materials and objects, as well as compile a series of ICH protection books. At the meeting, 148 cultural workers and 31 units from the grass roots cultural units in six counties gained titles of advanced workers and collectivity of ICH survey in Nanning. |
